The distinction of the tallest building on the planet goes to the Burj Khalifa, opened in January 2010 in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It stands a magnificient 2,717 feet, or 828 meters. The Burj Khalifa has 206 floors and will house a variety of private and commerical enterprises.
