Favorite Mythological Personality

Beginning with the writings of Homer (the Iliad and the Odyssey), and of Hesiod, we catch our first glimpses of the illustrious characters that are at the center of Greek mythology.

Later in the 5th century BCE, Greek playwrights added to, and elaborated on, the tales that became an integral part of ancient Greek civilization and of its influence on the later Western world.

Most folks would agree that Zeus is the best known character in Greek mythology. However, each individual familiar with the myriad of personalities that comprise the gods and goddesses of the Greek pantheon generally have a "favorite". In the puzzle above, Zeus is not listed, mainly because the letter "z" constricts word formations. However, the names of some all time "favorites" are used such as: Artemis, Athena, Circe, Demeter, and etc.
