Star Trek Characters

Referred to in clues 20 Across and 22 Across in the interactive TV crossword puzzle above, the original Star Trek television science fiction drama was created by Gene Roddenberry and debuted in 1966. The original series ran through 1969 and spawned a number of full-length feature films and spin-off series. The television series that followed the original show are: Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise.

The Star Trek series with the largest audience following was The Next Generation or just "TNG" to trek fans. The main characters in the series are Captain Jean-Luc Picard, played by Patrick Stewart; Commander William Riker, played by Jonathan Frakes; Security Chief Worf, portrayed by Michael Dorn; Dr Beverly Crusher, (Gates McFadden); Deanna Troi, played by Marina Sirtis; Lt. Commander Data, played by Brent Spiner; and Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge, portrayed by LeVar Burton.

Several of the Star Trek series are still broadcast in syndication and the entire body of work enjoys a steady cult following.

Law & Order: SVU Characters

The Law & Order: SVU main characters referred to in clues 40 Across and 62 Down, in the TV crossword above are both recurring fictional detectives on the show.
