Today is World Book Day and the traditionally accepted birthdate of William Shakespeare, (1564). Considered by many to be the greatest dramatist thus far in history, Shakespeare's best known works include the plays: Henry VI, (in three parts); The Comedy of Errors; The Taming of the Shrew; The Two Gentlemen of Verona; Romeo and Juliet; Julius Caesar; Antony and Cleopatra; A Midsummer Night's Dream; The Merchant of Venice; Much Ado About Nothing; As You Like It; The Merry Wives of Windsor; Hamlet; Othello; King Lear; Macbeth; and All's Well That Ends Well; among others. He also wrote a series of 154 sonnets that to this day are read and reread around the world.
