Reading Club -- A Logic Problem

Eight individuals from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky took part in a Reading Club, via the Internet, devoted to Kentucky authors and/or themes. Each person chose one author for discussion and presented their choice to the group for approval, at which time the choices were scheduled to be read and discussed over a eight-week period.

From the information provided, determine each reader's name, their hometown, (one was from Russellville), the author each chose and in what order the choices were discussed.

  • Bobbie Ann Mason was discussed the week before James Still.
  • Helen's choice was discussed during week eight.
  • Crystal Wilkinson was chosen for week one by the reader from Danville.
  • Frank's choice was discussed six weeks after Sam's.
  • Carol chose Irvin S. Cobb.
  • Betsy chose Robert Penn Warren, who was scheduled immediately after Jesse Stuart and two weeks prior to Bobbie Ann Mason.
  • The reader from Frankfort chose Wendell Berry.
  • The choice of the reader in Mount Vernon was discussed immediately after the one from the reader in Louisville, which was discussed in week six.
  • John, from Maysville, chose Harriette Arnow.
  • The reader from Corbin, who was not Bob, had their choice discussed during week five.
  • Lynn's choice was discussed during week three.
  • The choice of the reader from Bowling Green, which was not Betsy, was discussed in week four.
