Baseball Card Collectors Logic Problem

Nine baseball card collectors in an Internet club decided to meet at a baseball card show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One of the collectors in the group already lived in Wisconsin and arranged the meeting.

Each person was seeking a top grade rookie card of an individual baseball player, so the collectors decided to compile a group "want list" and each person would look for the nine cards sought by the group.

Three people were looking for a Hank Aaron rookie card.

  • ---The Philllies fan was looking for and found a Greg Maddux card.
  • ---Benny, one of the Yankees fans from New Hampshire, wanted a Hank Aaron card, but found what Bill was looking for instead.
  • ---Jill was looking for and found an Willie Mays card.
  • ---The Cubs fan from Kentucky, found the Lou Brock card, although she herself, wanted a Bob Gibson card.
  • ---Phil was looking for and found a Johnny Bench card.
  • ---The collector from Indiana wanted a Mickie Mantle card but bought a Nolan Ryan.
  • ---Wilma found what Betsy was looking for.
  • ---George, the Twins fan, found a Hank Aaron card.
  • ---Paul, the Braves fan from Illinois, bought a Sandy Koufax card, but it was not on the "want list".
  • ---Roberta, from Georgia, was the Phillies fan.
  • ---One of the fans wanting a Hank Aaron card found the Mickie Mantle card instead.
