Location

Suriname is located on the northeast coast of South America. The country is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the north, French Guiana on the east, Brazil on the south, and Guyana on the west.

Geographic Features

Coastal plains rise to central highlands and much of the country is rainforest.

Suriname's climate is tropical.
