Location

Peru is located on the Pacific coast of South America. The country is bounded by Ecuador and Colombia on the north, Brazil and Bolivia on the east, Chile on the south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west.

Geographic Features

Peru has an equatorial rainforest in the northeast. The coastal plains in the west rise to the Andes Mountains.

Climate

Peru's climate is hot and humid in the east, arid along the coast, and temperate in the mountains.
