The flag of Nicaragua, pictured above, looks similar
to the that of Honduras. The country's coat of arms
is centered on three bands of color. Just as with
Honduras's flag, the two blue bands represent the
Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and the white
represents the land in between. The flag is based on
the former flag of the Federal Republic of Central
America, of which Nicaragua and Honduras were
members.1.
