Location

The Bahamas are located in the Caribbean Sea in the western Atlantic Ocean between Florida and Hispaniola.

Geographic Features

Consisting of 700 mainly coral islands and more than 2000 cays, coral reefs or small islands made of sand. Some 30 islands of the country are inhabited.

Climate

Subtropical climate with hot summers, mild winters and abundant rainfall, mark the climate of the Bahamian islands.
