Did You Know? (60 Across) American artist, Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) is best known for his illustrations that graced the covers of popular magazines such as the Saturday Evening Post. Rockwell's favorite subjects were from everyday life, idealized in a sentimental and humorous venue. Rockwell also created a series of paintings called The Four Freedoms, based on FDR's principals of human rights, which the president pronounced in his yearly message to Congress in 1941.
