- ---UK's first basketball player to be classified as an All-American was Basil Hayden, in 1921.
- ---Adolph Rupp's first victory as coach of UK men's basketball came against Georgetown College in December of 1930.
- ---UK's first NCAA tournament win was on March 20, 1941 when the Wildcats defeated Illinois, 46-44.
