Did You Know? Steve Young, former quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers, is the only left-handed quarterback currently, (December 2008), a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Included in the numerous accolades Young has received, besides being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, are: two NFL MVP awards, (1992 and 1994); NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 1992; selected seven times to the Pro Bowl; two-time Bert Bell Award; and Super Bowl XXXIX MVP, among many others.

On October 5, 2008 the San Francisco 49ers retired Young's number eight jersey during a halftime ceremony in their game against the New England Patriots.
