College Football Maxwell Award Winners
Edited by V A Benge

The three "Best Player" (overall) awards in NCAA college football in the United States are: the Heisman Memorial Trophy; the Maxwell Award; and the Walter Camp Award. In the puzzle below the names of the recipients of past Maxwell Awards are used as puzzle clues. The colleges and universities the respective players represented on the football field at the time of receiving the award are the answers. For example, Penn State holds the distinction of being the school with the most winners (7) of the Maxwell Award, thus, the clue would read: "Larry Johnson 2002; Kerry Collins 1994; Charles Fusina 1978; John Cappelletti 1973; Mike Reid 1969; Glenn Ressler 1964; and Richie Lucas 1959" had it been used in the puzzle below.
