Kentucky People -- Arthur Krock Arthur Krock won three Pulitzer Prizes and a special Pulitzer citation in his 60-year career as a journalist. Born in Glasgow, Kentucky in 1886, Krock started his journalism career with the Louisville Herald in 1906. In 1910, he became the Washington correspondent for the Louisville Times and also for the Louisville Courier-Journal the next year. Krock moved to the position of Washington bureau chief, with the New York Times in 1927. His column, "In the Nation", ran for 32 years and he was considered one of the most influential journalists of his time. Arthur Krock died April 12, 1974.
