Pool House Renovation -- A Logic Problem

The Taylor family had a small renovation job done to their pool house while on vacation. They left a neighbor in charge of paying the six contractors on their behalf, one of which was a landscaper. When they returned, the neighbor had mixed up the records. They knew the total paid out was $5000, all in even dollar amounts, but were unsure of who got paid what amount. (No two contractors received the same amount.) One contractor received $400. Can you save them a trip to the bank by determining each contractor’s name, the trade each worked at, and the amount of money each was paid?

Mr. James was paid exactly three times more than the cleanup contractor, but only one-half as much as the carpenter.
Mr. McDowell received $1000 for his work.
Ms. Clark did the painting. She did not received the least amount of money.
The electrician was paid exactly twice as much as the cleanup contractor, but only a third of what the carpenter received.
Ms. Roberts was paid exactly twice as much as Ms. Brown and Mr. Todd combined.
The contractor that received the least amount of money was paid $300.
The plumber was paid $100 more than Mr. James and $400 more than Ms. Brown.
