Vocabulary Building Blocks: (27 Across) dory (NOUN) 1. Common name of any of ten species of marine fishes widely distributed in the mid-waters and deep slope waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans. 2. A small, deep, flat-bottomed boat, with a sharp prow, crosspieces for seats, and rowlocks for oars with which it is propelled. Synonyms: dinghy, rowboat. (The word dory is a native Honduran name.)
